When you join the Gorillatank community you're embarking on an adventure. Your adventure will lead you on a path that earns you seeds and increase your status within the community.
Here's how it works:
You will start as a Lemur, progressing to a baboon, orangutan, chimpanzee and finally Gorilla which will give you as much as 3 times more voting power than a Lemur when it comes to selecting edited designs; and as much as £ 5.00 shopping credit for each of your friend's purchase.

Tips to submit
Ready to participate, make some money, earn seeds, become famous? Ok time to upload:
- If your design is accepted we'll need either of the following files:
- Illustrator. CS 11 - EPS ( spot colour - outlined type )
- Photoshop CS 8. RGB / CMYK - Tiff - jpg - psd ( 200 dpi at actual size )
- PDF ( outlined type - Image resolution 200 dpi at actual size - allow editing )
- Use a maximum of 4 colours, gradient and half tones now alowed... Our templates on the Create page will help you for the authorised background colours.
- Don't hesitate to show some details, you can upload up to three images of your artwork (.jpg format - 405 x 495 pixels). You are also required to submit a thumbnail sized file of your artwork (.jpg format - 136 x 165 pixel) Submit your design here
Selection & Voting process
Once uploaded, we will moderate the design i.e.: number of colours, non offensive, illegal or inappropriate content, quality... It'll be approved or declined to be posted on the website in the next few hours. In both cases you will receive an email of confirmation of either approval or denial.
When approved for voting your design will remain two weeks in the Voting Open section after that it'll be available for viewing only in the "Voting Closed" section, best rated designs will then become available for print any day. The lucky winners will be rewarded by a £300 ($600 - 450 euros) cheque & £120 store credit ; hopefully as we grow and with your help: much more very soon!

Why increase your status?
Status - or total seeds - determines your benefits in the GT community. These benefits include discounts on merchandise plus voting power on design submissions. Your status helps show your standing or credibility within the community when posting comments or voting on designs without having to disclose your personal information.
Best of all – the higher your status – the more seeds you earn for each action. Check out the table below.
Participate for discount
The more you participate, the more you earn. Every time you make a purchase at standard rate, you'll earn seeds. You'll also earn seeds for referring active friends to the GT community, submitting your new T-shirt picture - and even getting a year older – is your birthday approaching? Watch those points add up! Further, you don't even need to buy to receive seeds, being an active members in the blog area or giving your opinion will earn you seeds.

How to read the chart?
Joe BLOGGS is currently an Orangutan, by referring someone who buys a T-shirt he'll receive 28 seeds (£2.80 discount on his next Tee Shirt purchase)
If Joe BLOGGS was a Baboon this referral would have brought him 20 seeds (or £ 2.00 discount on his next t-shirt purchase)
